My morning did not start with a good experience today.
While on our way to work, we saw a 4-wheel pickup ran over a dog. It went directly under the right front and rear tyres. The guy didn't stop at all! There we were watching speechless as the poor dog kicked and rolled to its last breath. The driver in front of me stopped (and so did I)and motorists on the opposite lane slowed down. As I was about to step out and remove the carcass, a school girl (from the car in front)went to the dog's side and I believed she intended to move it to the grass. A guy (I pressumed the owner) went to her side, lifted the dog and took it the other side of the road. As he laid the body on the grass, two other dogs came by its side and were making sad sound; as if crying for their lost friend. It was really, really heart breaking...
Pets get killed mainly because we are not being responsible owners. Knowing that our roads are very busy and we have drivers from hell on the road, dog owners should put on a leash when walking their pets.
All dogs go to heaven.
