Morning Encounter
My morning did not start with a good experience today.
While on our way to work, we saw a 4-wheel pickup ran over a dog. It went directly under the right front and rear tyres. The guy didn't stop at all! There we were watching speechless as the poor dog kicked and rolled to its last breath. The driver in front of me stopped (and so did I)and motorists on the opposite lane slowed down. As I was about to step out and remove the carcass, a school girl (from the car in front)went to the dog's side and I believed she intended to move it to the grass. A guy (I pressumed the owner) went to her side, lifted the dog and took it the other side of the road. As he laid the body on the grass, two other dogs came by its side and were making sad sound; as if crying for their lost friend. It was really, really heart breaking...
Pets get killed mainly because we are not being responsible owners. Knowing that our roads are very busy and we have drivers from hell on the road, dog owners should put on a leash when walking their pets.
All dogs go to heaven.

Man, been really busy, really, really busy lately...
Don't need a smart guy to see that this Blog has not been maintained and updated for quite some time. Can't even remember when my last visit here. Things gonna change soon. After I done with my MA, I'm gonna do some revamps.
First, change the profile, write on regular basis, establish link to edusites and for the love God need to do something with the design!
Need to complete my thesis draft here....

Office talk
Grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I cannot accept,
and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those people I had to kill
today because they pissed me off.
And also, help me to be careful of the toes I step on today
as they may be connected to the ass that I may have to kiss
tomorrow.
Help me to always give 100% at work…
12% on Monday
23% on Tuesday
40% on Wednesday
20% on Thursday
5% on Friday
And help me to remember…
When I’m having a really bad day,
And it seems that people are trying to piss me off,
That it takes 42 muscles to frown and
Only 4 to extend my middle finger and tell them to bite me
Amen

We are really busy lately. It's November & this the time when the management is really getting on everybody's nerves...
Auditors come & check everyone's file. You'll see staff frantically trying to complete their files...Me? probably i'll just grab a handful of A4 paper and stuff them inside the file. My version of

Everyday's Life
Attended a course in Peninsular Malaysia last week. It was, basically, a fun 4-day-course.
Met some new friends...enjoyed some local delicacies. Gain a few grams within 4 days...not bad. I was hoping to gain a few kilos...Really need to gain weight here.
Encountered some hilarious (+ disturbing?) moments along the way.
The first one, happened at a shop in LCCT (airport). (conversation was in English) When I was at the counter, the salesperson asked me where I was from and when I told her that I'm from Sarawak, her response was, "Boleh cakap BM (Bahasa Malaysia) tak?". I was like , "huh?"
I mean seriously, what makes anybody in Malaysia think that a Malaysian can't converse in BM, the national language? It doesn't really matter if you speak Basilectal, Mesolectal, or Acrolectal BM, the point is, as long as you grow up in this country, there's no reason as to why you can't speak BM.
The second one was my brief encounter with a sales executive of the hotel where we stayed during the period of the course. A few of my friends and I, befriended a sales exec and had a nice evening conversation with him. Apparently, the guy was interested in Gambir Sarawak (a plant with aphrodisiac quality, say again?), and wanted us to get some of the stuff for him. Probably he wanted to be a Gambir pusher (huh?)...Nuff' to say that some of details (verbal explanation + demo) in the conversation made some of us felt uncomfortable...
But his killer question was, "Bila lagi nak datang Malaysia?" (everybody was stunned except for him of course)
My friend's response was, "Gila! Sarawak tu Malaysia la!"
(took the guy a few seconds to digest the input...)
Last time I check, Sarawak & Sabah ARE PART of Malaysia...
Didn't they teach you that in Geo or History? And this coming from a sales exec...damn!
Remind me of some disturbing experience when I first set foot in Peninsular Malaysia. Some of the questions posted to me & fellow Borneans were, "Do you guys still live on trees?". We would say, "yeah, but we got lifts and escalators going up." Another favourite question was, "What currency are you guys using?". We would say, "Bornean Dollars". Love to see the puzzled look on their faces.
This kind of misconception also happened in Sabah & Sarawak. Some people, esp the older generation, would think that KL (Kuala Lumpur) IS Peninsular Malaysia.
15 years have passed, and yet, stuff like this is still happening. Seriously, miscommunication/misconception like this need to be set right.
Any interesting experience to share?

still pondering on the direction of this site, but i hope that I would be able to share interesting stuff with others. I welcome any suggestions/comments to help me improve this site..
Not really good in IT, but hope to pick up some skills along the process.
